Article One of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”

Due to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, I have the opportunity to share with you the mission that Webster University is going to accomplish in the coming months, thanks to Chancellor Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble and all Webster family members. This mission concerns the African Renaissance Diaspora Network (ARDN) Red Card, which will be discussed at the United Nations in New York on March 6th.

The main purpose of this mission is to help and fight discrimination and violence against women.

There are various types of violence: verbal, physical, psychological, sexual, economic: each of this violence changes the life of every woman forever. One hundred and thirty-seven women are killed by a member of their family every day. 15 million adolescent girls worldwide, aged 15–19 years, have experienced forced sex. "the website of United Nations Women”

These are horrible statistics, but they are data that force us to reflect.

Founded in 1915 by the Loretto Sisters, Webster University was a University that only admitted and educated women, but over the years, Webster has opened its doors to all human beings, creating a safe place where academic excellence and equality in every human being prevails.

Currently, 12,000 people from all over the world work and study at Webster, and each of these incredible people have the freedom and the opportunity to share their thoughts, their culture but above all their inner voice without ever being judged by others.

This article serves primarily as a message of hope and to inform you, readers, what Webster does in helping to have a better world, a world where we could give future generations a solid foundation where they can build a future of peace, equality, strength, and love.

Every human being has the ability to contribute to this change, starting today. By signing this petition, you will help the Red Card Campaign to fight violence against women, you will help the world to be a better place, and above all, you will have given hope to humanity. With a simple click, we can start to change the world. With a simple click, we can save every woman. With a simple click, we can give life to those women who have suffered from acts of violence.

With a simple click, we can do all this.
